Velocity question.
Went out the other day with my new chrony in hand and decided to check the velocities on my M29 Smith with 10 5/8 barrel, I'm running a 240 grain RNFP lazer cast bullet on top of 14 grains of Accurate # 5, My question is what is an acceptable extreme spread in velocities? High was 1533 low was 1471. this is after 12 rounds fired.

Don't get hung up on the numbers. If the load is accurate, that is all that matters. I am not being smart; many people have discovered that a low SD doesn't nessessarily translate into increased accuracy.
