Reloading 12 Gauge Sabot Slugs
Can anybody offer some recipes to reload 525 gr. Lyman Sabot slugs in 12 gauge 3 inch or 2 and 3/4 inch shotshells? From the Lyman handbook I have gotten some ideas, e.g. Winchester 2 and 3/4 inch AA hulls, WSF powder or Unique.
Besides the Lyman handbook any suggestions where more up to date handloading data can be found? Thank you, Jerry |

JerryMMM:
I load the sabots and also use thew Lyman book. The best one I have found is FedGM hull 2 3/4" Win 209 primer 32.0gr/Herco WAA12F114 wad I have tried the others and found this to be the most accurate out of my 20" smoothy, and I shoot IPSC and PPC shotgun. Just try the alll and find the one that your shotty likes. FYI I'm not a masochist, I don't load 3", for me there isn't any point. BHP9 |
