Remington 1903 info

Hi,

I am just getting into 1903's and I and not totally sure about this one? Can anybody give me some information about it? I have never seen a rear sight like this one.

looks like a lyman receiver sight

Yes thats what it is, a previous owner must have added that.
Its not period correct, but its an excelent sight.

That's a good looking '03. The Lyman sight will work nice. You still have your orginal sights so if you wanted to shoot CMP GSM matches all you would have to do is take the Lyman off.

Assuming there are no modifications I can't see in the pictures.
