Restoring a Mossberg 26B

I am new here, so Hello everyone

I recently got a Mossberg 26B single shot .22 handed down to me. Its in devastating condition, so I want to restore it. Most of you probably think, why? it's not worth it. This rifle has been in the family for almost 70 years.

I have searched the net for parts and any info on these rifles. I have found hardly any info, there are plenty of part dealers but 26B parts are not always in stock.

What I am searching for now..... is a picture of one in original condition? or a detailed website about the history of mossberg rifles? Better yet, any info at all would be unbelievably helpfull.

Thank-you in adance.

I'd give a quick call to Vic at www.mossbergcollectors.org/ or at www.havlinsales.com
