My dad purchased a 5" westerner which is a govt sized 1911 with every piece individually cold case hardened and synthetic ivory grips. Looks great and shoots even better. He hasn't had a problem to date. It has an extended slide stop, adj. rear sight and full length guide rod that needs a hex to remove. 6" has front cocking serrations. As for fit, I am more knowledgeable on the subject than I was when I last saw it but seemed to be fitted well.
