Scale Minimum Capacity Requirements?

Howdy all,

A powder scale is that last bit of equipment that I need to buy before I start cranking out Monkey specials.

I found one at a local shop for $49. It is a tiny electronic "pocket" scale w/300 gram capacity, accurate to .1 gram. Is this enough?

Here's what I've got. Cheap -- cheaper than what you are looking at, but works surprisingly well. Maxes out at 100 grains (Grains is what you want for reloading, not grams

), but unless you are weighing bullets you probably won't need more than that. Mine has been repeatedly sensitive to less than .1 grain. For a starter scale on a tight budget like mine, it's pretty good.

yep get the lee scale... YOU DO NOT WANT TO MEASURE GRAMS!!!! you want to measure GRAINS don't confuse that with each little piece of powder which most reloaders call KERNALS... i use the lee scale too and it is a very accurate scale at a good price..... they are naturally very touchy though as they measure so precisely.. REMEMBER 7000 GRAINS MAKE A POUND OF SOMETHING.....
