xtreme plated bullets ?
I am thinking about buying some 45 acp 200 gn HP plated bullets from xtreme. Has anyone loaded them that can tell me about their quality and accuracy ?
Is there any other plated bullet that is recommended better ? |

I see that Missouri Bullet Co. is now offering plated bullets. I have not used them, but since I have used their cast bullets which are of outstanding quality, I would try them if I had the urge to run plated bullets.

I've used xtreme, Berrys, and Palmetto State Armory plated bullets. I can't tell the difference. All good quality stuff. No key holing, tumbling, accuracy, feeding, or reloading problems with any of the brands, in any of the calibers.
I prefer Berrys, as it is usually the cheapest. Right now, PSA has free shipping for orders over $100, so PSA would be cheapest.

Use X-treme plated bullets all the time. They are my plated bullet go to source. Good quality and prices and $5 flat rate shipping. They frequently run specials, so get on their email list.

I've been buying Xtreme plated bullets for .44, .38 and 9mm. Also their jacketed .223 bullets. All seem high quality, zero issues. I will continue to buy from them. they have email sales on a regular basis, basically free shipping.

I haven't used their 200gr HP but I have used their 200gr RNs and FPs in 45 Auto. They both shoot great for me. The HPs should have an edge in accuracy over the RNs and FPs. I use Xtremes in 45 Colt, 9mm and 357 too. I highly recommend them.

I just picked up 500 of the 115 gr RN in 9 mm. Measured 10 for weight and all within a .4 grain of 115. Most on the light side.

I've been using them with excellent results although I prefer flat points for target shooting also they make a plated with a crimp groove which is another plus.

Not that this thread needs another testimonial for Xtreme, but the local reloading company, that supplies the range ammo for the area, uses them.

Ditto on previous post, shipping is terrible, bullets are fine. Take a look at Rocky mountain reloading, I can usually buy pulled FMJ's for about the same price, free shipping and no problems.

I am not disputing others reported shipping woes with X-Treme other than to say that my personal experience has always been good with them. I have ordered from them at least four separate times over the last 18 months and did not have a problem. The order is usually shipped in one to two days. Transit time from Washington state to Georgia (a long friggin way) is about 5 business days and for only $5. The product has always arrived double boxed and padded.

My last order from Xtreme was less than one month ago and I had it in SEVEN days, door to door.
If you guys are talking about issues you had during the panic, it seems as if that's about as relevant as stock & price during the panic also.

Xtreme Plated Bullets
I've used Xtreme for a couple years and they shoot excellent in my Glocks 17/30. My shooting buddy just ordered a few boxes last Wed and received them today. My experiences with their deliveries were nearly the same, but it's been quite some time since I've ordered from them. I have checked their prices, and they are cheaper than Berry's and they have a Flat Rate Shipping of $5

I was previously reloading Montana Gold 124gr RN, but due to the volume I am shooting, I decided to try 124gr RN bullets from Xtreme to save a little money. Other than adjusting the depth of the seating die, I did not have to make any changes to my reloading process. Same powder charge, OAL, crimp, etc and I get nearly identical accuracy and chrono results.
Currently loading Xtreme 124gr RN, 4.8gr of Hodgdon CFE Pistol with a (short) OAL of 1.12". If you shoot action sports, it works out to a Power Factor in the low 130's out of an XDm 5.25. Fly
