Slugging the barrel

How come when I cast my own bullets I have to be concerned about the precise size of my barrel requiring me to slug the barrel, but I don't have that same concern when I use factory ammo?

As an example, if I have a 45 ACP caliber gun for which I obtain a groove diameter of .450 from slugging I have to size the lead bullet to .450. If slugging idenifies a .451 diameter then I size the lead bullet to .451. Then how come I can use 45 ACP caliber factory ammo without concern for the different slugged diameters?

Slugging barrel allows you to tailor your ammo to particular gun, so you can achieve better accuracy than with factory ammo. Buying factory ammo you buy ammo that will FUNCTION in all guns in that caliber, not necessary most accurate ammo.
