Hi. Recently acquired a Cold Combat Elite 1911. Very nice looking and feeling pistol, but haven't shot it yet. I understand these were fine off the shelf guns. What years were they manufactured? Values of an excellent specimen? Experiences with this gun? Thanks

Jackblackstone, the Colt Combat Elite was made from 1992-1996. In excellent condition it could be worth about $620-$730. Hope this helps!

John, the Colt Double Eagle was offered in mutiple variations from 1989-1996.

The Double Eagle First Edition was made in 1989 with a total of 1000 being produced. This version of the Double Eagle didn't have a decocking lever. It was only offered in 10mm Auto and in excellent condition it could be worth about $600-$700.

The Double Eagle Series 90 I & II were made from 1990-1996. This version was chambered in 9x19mm, ,38 Super, .45 ACP and 10mm Auto. This version had a 5" barrel and in excellent condition it could be worth about $500-$600. Slight premiums would be added for those chambered in 9x19mm or .38 Super.

The Double Eagle Combat Commander was made from 1991-1996 with a 4.25" barrel. It was chambered in .40 S&W or .45 ACP and in excellent condition it could be worth about $500-$600.

The Double Eagle Officer's Model was made from 1991-1993 with a 3.5" barrel. It was only chambered in .45 ACP and in excellent condition it could bec worth about $500-$600.

The Double Eagle Officer's Lightweight Model was made from 1991-1993 using an alloy frame & a blued finish with a 3.5" barrel. It too was only chambered in .45 ACP and in excellent condition it could be worth about $525-$650.

Hope this helps!
