I also have a model 88 in roughly 70% condition. It's a .243, serial #52xxx. Can you tell me date of manufacture(I think it's about 59 or 60), and the approx. value? BTW it has an older(25 years) B&L 3x9 on it. Sounds like I'm wanting to sell all my old Winchesters. Might be.

Muleshoe, your Winchester Model 88 was made in 1957. In the condition you've described the rifle could be worth about $350. The scope might add another $50. Hope this helps!
