Taurus 1911-22lr?

Why has not Taurus made a 1911 in 22lr? what are they waiting for? I would be willing to try it, I bet the price would be cheaper than SIG/Colts.

Its probably because they realize that most 1911 are compatible with just about every 22 cal conversion kit.
