How easy or difficult is it to change a '98 Mauser to 416 Taylor or 458 Win?
What are the problem areas? Any gunsmiths to recommend?

Glamdring, on the ones I've done in .416 Taylor there are no specific problems just the routine ones of converting to the magnum round. Bolt face, feed rails etc. I'd be happy to give you a quote on the job. If you like, e-mail me with a list of what you want done. George

No trouble at all. Have one. Excellent work, good prices by LowTech Mauser (http://www.gun-shop.biz/index.html). A real thumper. Kills Cape Buffalo no trouble a'tall, a'tall.

re-416 taylor
My next project. Only thing to add is you might have to file out (lengthen) the guard/mag assy. at the rear by a little.
