Winchester Mod 50 shell catcher

I recently bought a Winchester Model 50 and I would like to use it to shoot trap. However, the extracted hulls are impacting shooters to my right and so I bought a shell catcher. The problem is that the cocking lever on the breach block impacts the shell catcher on the forward movement. I filed off a small flange on the shell catcher but the cocking lever still hits the body of the shell catcher. Should I mill out a recess in the cocking handle or is there a chell catcher that someone knows of that will work on this particular gun?
