Savage 10 bolt disassembly
I am trying to disassemble the bolt on my new savage 10, with the fakafka cocking indicator. I do not know what I am doing wrong, but the firing pin retaining sleave will not fall down so I can remove the retaining pin. I don't think I should use pliers, so I must be doing something wrong. There is a video of a Savage 110 (pre cocking indicator) being disassembled, but the sleave comes out pretty easily, and there is no cocking indicator.
The problem seems to me the cocking indicator, but I don't know. Any advice appreciated. |

And why is this necessary? What is broken, missing, or not working that requires the bolt be taken apart?
