S&W 1911 E and a Walther PPS are on the short list.

I have already paid for a Springfield loaded M1911-A1 9mm. Just waiting for it to be built. I paid for it in December and it looks like it will be November before I can take delivery. Who would have thought so many people would be in line for one.

Nanuk,

Good call on the Smith 1911 E. I have one and it is a great shooter.

I'd love to find a Shield 9 @ a normal price. I'm not going to pay $600 for one, though. If I find a deal before the XDs 9 comes out, I'll but it. After that, I'm not sure which I'll get.

I miss the Sig P226 I had. I think I'll try a Sig 45acp this time.

There's a lot on my list, but here's a start:

- 1911 or any semiauto pistol in 45ACP
- AR10
- Another AK47

Next handgun?

A local pawnshop/gun dealer is selling for $375 a 1962 Walther P38 that was made in that French factory whose name I can't recall. I'm going to buy the gun as soon my 2012 tax refund comes in (any day now).

If they sell the P38 before I get my refund, I'm gonna use the refund to buy new tires for my SUV.

I don't have a proper CCW piece. I'm thinking probably a Ruger LCP, although I am also curious about the LCR and LC9.

I'd consider a Keltec, but they couldn't even be bothered to make any guns before the panic.

A pistol caliber carbine makes the most sense for my long gun needs, but there isn't really anything between Hipoint and expensive.

I also need to pick up a good AR-15 while I still can. I'm thinking about splitting the difference and getting a 9mm AR.

No particular brand or model,,,

No particular brand or model,,,
I'm always on the lookout for nice SA/DA .22 revolvers.

The last one I bought was used as a graduation gift,,,
She was a server at my favorite watering hole,,,
We went shooting many times in 3 years,,,
I gave her a 4" Charter Arms Pathfinder.

I have a Rossi 511 in for repairs right now,,,
If it works out to be a decent shooter,,,
It will go to another graduate I know.

I'm not looking to buy any more guns. NO. MORE.

Especially not that STI commander-sized 9mm 1911 at my local gun store. Absolutely NOT!

God I hope some other shopper's self control breaks before mine does.

But please God don't let some other shopper's self control break before mine does!

I'll be picking up a used Glock here in a bit. Have to decide between 9mm (19) and .40 (23) though. Probably will end up being whichever is in the display case when I show up at my LGS.

Seems to be the usual way I make decisions.

Let's see...

Put a Kahr P380 on order, sold my LCP to finance it.

Looking at the Kimber Solo CDP/CT...haven't figured out what I'm going to sell to finance that. My Kahr PM9 is off the table.

Maybe a kidney?

I'm picking up a Henry AR-7 Survival rifle. Wish I'd bought one in the 60's.....

Already bought two this year, but I've been drooling over a Smith Performance Center 629, .44mag with 2.5 inch barrel ... birthday's in July, so maybe if I hint enough ...

I have wanted one of those over/under scout survival rifles for the longest time. The one I seen was a .22lr/ .410, i'd prefer a .22mag with a 20 guage beneath though.

I got a line on a used G26 gen3 with night sights. Have already agreed to buy it, just waiting til we can make the swap. The current owner can't seem to find the time.

Next purchase is going to be a sub-compact or "pocket gun".
Been looking for a Springfield XDs or an M&P Shield, but those are hard to find (at a reasonable price) in my area.
Looking at Kahr CM9 and Taurus PT709 Slim as well. I like the Taurus...but the "Made in Brazil" is a huge turn off for me.

For some reason I have also found myself wanting a mid to full size Glock chambered in .40 S&W. But that has to wait until later.

I have a PT709. It is a very good gun. Don't let the "made in Brazil" turn you away.

It's not that I think that a Brazilian made gun would automatically be lesser quality, I just prefer to support American made products when I have the choice.
I do like the features, size and price/performance ratio of the PT709.

(And yes, I know the XDs is not 100% USA made)

Sir, I wouldn't buy a new one either. If I buy new I try to buy American. I figure used it is just money changing hands between Americans.
And no taxes.
