Remington Military Rolling Block Rifle - First Look

This is a first look at a Remington military Rolling Block rifle I found at a Gun show in Louisville recently. It is chambered for the .43 Spanish cartridge. It is in pretty good shape for a gun that is almost 140 years old. We'll review the features of these rifles, and take a few shots before sending it off to the gunsmith for a trigger job.

remington 3 band

duelist1954, very nice find. I've got a newyork state contract 3 band remington in 45-70. I got it from coan's auction in 07. Mine has no finish left but the bore and mechanics are a-1. It's one of my favorite shooters. Oh it came with bayonet, too. The remingtion rollingblock is probably one of the most user friendly and accurate rifles. Like to see more of them put back in to use.

Nice video, Mike.
Always had a yen for a RB. Now it's worse. Thanks a lot!
