There he was! His mommy and daddy standing behind him. All seven years mean of him. Black pants n white shirt, black hat and fancy gun leather. Packing a pair of nickel plated Colts. The stage called for ten pistols shots and ten rifle shots. He shot the stage clean with not even a whimper. Six seconds better than me and none of my three misses! It was Knob Creek Gunfighters Guild, Westpoint , Kentucky, Sunday, June 4. "How old is he?" I asked his mom. "Seven" she answered. "He's pretty good for a junior" I says. Mommy replies, "He's gotta work on his speed a little."

Thanks Ned, that put a smile on my face. It's a shame he doesn't have nightly episodes of Gunsmoke, Bonanza, et. al. to watch like we did as kids his age.
