cbc single shot 12 ga-any info?

i got a single shot 12 gauge shotgun the other day for next to nothing.cbc serial number starts with sb and imported by fif.
any one have one or know about it with some advise-likes or dislikes.
i shot it at the range and ran a box of bird shot through it and seem fine.
the guy watching me stated i should have it checked out because while i was shooting it,it looked like the chamber was going to open when fired.i did not feel like that was happening but who knows.when i break open the action,it seems very solid and locks in to place solid.the release also seems very firm.
he said mabe the spring on the release should be replaced-but that was him saying that without touching the gun.
anyway anyone have one-info on it?
