I just starting reloading this round... first 5 rounds I fired today got stuck (very hard to extract) from the chamber after firing. I was seated a little high..but not into the lands. what is the problem..? this is a tikka m995.. 300 win mag.

also these rounds were fire formed then full length resized... winchester nickel brass.

Both Nosler#6 and QuickLoad say that's not (supposed to be) an overpressure load, so the answer must lie elsewhere. (QL says 57,500 relative to a 62,400psi MAX)

Q1:
What was the real OAL, and how did you determine it?
OAL = 3.4", or 3.34" ?
(The listed manual OAL says the latter)

Q2:
Does the extracted brass show shiny ejector burnishing and/or primer/flashhole signs?

Q3:
Have you pulled a cartridge (from that loading session) apart and confirmed all weights?

Q4: Is there any chance you used RL-19 or RL-17?

the brass looks fine.. the true OAl.. is 3.34

it chambered fine.. no problem at all.

I have read so far that the belt can expand in this caliber (or any belted magnum) and can cause this.. my question is how to fix it though.. haven't found that yet..lol...

Normally the (area immediately above the) belt does not start causing problems unless very high pressure loads are reloaded repeatedly, and even then only after ≥ a half-dozen reloads. THEN the problem shows up when trying to close the bolt, not open it.
