1911 Longslide Question
I was just curious. Can a long slide and barrel be fitted to a standard 1911 frame, or is the frame different also?
Thanks for your time.

All the Clark Longslides were done as conversions on 5" guns. I expect a 6" slide would fit a standard receiver these days.

I have an AMT Hardballer Long Slide (don't believe all that you've read or heard) and it's 7 inches in length, and the frame is exactly the same as every other 1911.
You will need a long recoil spring plug. I run a Wilson Combat 18-pound spring.
