Birthing date on Colt Python

I've acquired a very nice Colt Python with a 4 inch barrel. I'd like to know the approximate age. (The gun appears to have been carried very little and shot very little. From the absence of any cylinder ring, it appears to be the best timed revolver I've ever come across.)

Serial # 391**E

Thanks for any help.

1976 production began with 15001E and went to 48300E, so yours was part way throught the year.
