13, 14, 15, and 19 all leap to mind.
For discussion, BT, those were amendments specifically added to modify the original BoR - which is how things are supposed to be done. Courts or politicians "re-interpreting" existing amendments is not how things are supposed to be done. Use of the prefatory clause to argue that the 2nd Amendment did not apply to individuals did not even begin until the late 19th century. People who want to argue that is how it should work ought to be lobbying to add an amendment to modify the 2nd, not trying to twist the 2nd into what it is not. |
