Magazine preferences...

I have a Springer Loaded on order and was kicking around the idea to go ahead and buy a couple of mags for it. I'm heading off to one of Randy Cain's courses in May and was suggested to bring extras.

I've had a Wilson Combat for my Kimber at one time and it never let me down. There's also Chip McCormick's to consider. Anybody with experience with both for pros and cons?

Also, what's the Shok-Buff recoil system that's offered by Wilson Combat? Worth the investment?

Nothing but Wilson in all my 1911s. Chips are good too and MecGar. Don't do ProMag or Kimpro.

Wilson Combat. I dont have much experience with the other brands you mentioned. I normally just use Wilsons or USGI mags. My friends and I have never had a problem with Wilson mags. They would be my first choice.

Thanks, gents.

I didn't have good luck with ProMags either in my P95.

Anybody with input on the Shok-Buff setup?

I have both...

Wilson Combat and CMC mags which are over 8 years old, and have yet to have had a failure...either brand will serve you well.

www.44mag.com. The magazines are made by CMI ,they are the current supplier of USGI magazines. I have 5 of them and they are the real deal.

I didn't see anything for sale for any pistol on that site.

Sorry, I thought you were asking about magazines for a Springfield Armory M1A Loaded model.
