Sweaty Holster

For summer carry I'll be tucking my 637 IWB under a T-shirt. Problem is my job puts me out in the summer sun all day on 300 plus degree asphalt. And I do sweat, a lot in all that heat. There is no barrier between my holster (and gun) and my skin. How can I protect my holster against sweat damage? I plan on cleaning my gun and oiling it often to protect the gun.

Get a kydex holster. You and your gun will be much happier.

I work physically outside too, and switched to kydex about 15 years ago and never looked back, No more rusty guns, no more rubbed raw skin.

Another option for your snubby is a Smart Carry. I use one for my Seecamp and it to works well, as long as your wearing fairly loose pants (I wear Carharts or similar) The back of the Smart Carry is waterproof, and I've yet to find any dampness on my gun, even when I'm soaking wet from sweat.

Thanks AK. I'll look into getting both of those options. Anyone else have an idea?
