my first reloads.
well i shot my first reloads today! they were 38 special using 2.5 grains of trail boss and home made lead boolit! i only shot 6 because i wanted to be sure that they would work before i made up 50 or more. all six went into a 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" group at 10 yards! the bullseye was nearly gone! lol im very happy and i will be starting a new batch of 50 rounds tonight! i think i have found the best hobby in the world!

Congratulations, Dale. Enjoy your new hobby but remember to Be Safe. Reloading is great fun and is as safe or dangerous as you make it.

Welcome to reloading. I would suggest you get a chronograph when you can. They are an excellent way to do the right thing: start low and work up! With a chrono you know what kind of velocity you are getting and that's the key to safe handloading. Also remember to make notes on every lot so if you discover a problem later you can determine what went wrong, or you can duplicate that very successful load.

Congradulations! It's a good feeling when your first reloads shoot as expected. I haven't bought factory ammo since I started reloading my own. Be safe. Citywaterman

That's great Dale. I don't remember my first reloads. That was 50 years ago. It has been a great hobby. Enjoy!
