Gen 4 Glocks say "Gen 4" on the box. Gen 3 Glocks don't say anything on the box in regards to which generation they are.

Good point, how did I forget that part? Yeah, just look at the slide: If it says "Gen 4" it's a Gen 4, if it says nothing it's a Gen 3.

The 30-40 Glock Gen 4's I checked in for our shop the other day from our wholesaler all had 3 mags.... sounds like someone is pocketing the extra mags for themselves.. or to stock their shelves and make an easy buck.

Well I picked it up and it did come with 3 mags.
I am now a glock owner. When I got home I could barely look my single action revolvers and 1911s in the eye |

Dealer by me has both options.
If you're LE/MIL you can get a Gen 4 block (any model) for $425-500 with 3 magazines. If you don't fit into that category it's a any of the same models for like $100 more with only 2 magazines. Sillyness. |

So are they Gen 4s with 2 mags marked on the box? Or are they taking a mag out at the shop?

I *think* they're marked differently on the box.
The only Glock (19) case I have in the pile from them is labeled "3 15rd" and came with three magazines. The "non-mil/leo" case is physically separated from the other guns along with the different prices. Never really made sense for me to look that deep into it, I'm active military and they'll sell me a pistol for less money with MORE magazines- so it's a no brainer on which to buy. Also, that shop is a good outfit- can't imagine that they would remove a magazine from a factory set on their own then pawn it off to people while saying "it's the way Glock does it" |

I just picked up my Glock 26 Gen4 and it has THREE (3) magazines.
I called Glock Customer Service and they said three magazines. A data point for you. G |
