I recently acquired a G26 with Tru Dot fixed sights. I like these sights a lot but have never had any experience with this type of thing. I am wondering if there is any type of cleaning compound or other thing that I may put on these when cleaning and such, that will damage these night sights? I have asked around and all I can find, short of the company is that I shouldn't drop them (duh).

You wouldn't want to use anything that might harm plastic. I can't think of any product in partiucular but if you have a warning label that mentions plastic, don't use it. George

Tru Dot is a trademark of Meprolite. I have used these sights on Glocks exclusively for a number of years. They are generally impervious to the cleaning solvents I use( Gun Scrubber, Hoppes), but I wouldn't completely immerse your slide.
