I have a friend who has an over and under shotgun that he inherited from his dad that he would like to have refurbished. The shotgun was custom made in Italy in the early sixties and is worth around $6,000.I don't know the name of the company that made it but mainly the stock needs work and also some smithing. I haven't seen it but he said it is silver inlaid with gold screws and lots of engraving. Does anyone know of a place that does this kind work on shotguns?

I suggest Briley Manufacturing at www.briley.com

They do great restoration work as well as firearm customizing.

I have heard good things about the restoration work done by Briley.

You might also want to check out the double gun website:

www.gunshop.com

They have a list of websites of companies that specialize in restorations.
