S&W Model 29

Did they make a model 29 with a full under lug in a 5 or 6 inch barrel? All the model 29's that I have seen have a short lug.

There are 629s with full underlugs, but I don't know that there are long-barreled 29s with the full lug.

629 Classic

Danny Reid is right. Here is my model 629 Classic with 5 inch barrel and full underlug. This gun was made about 12 years ago.

I have several N-Frames, my collection includes one of the Classics as shown above.

The revolver has a 6" barrel and is most definitely a shooter, same quality design, same crisp trigger and the same inherent accuracy.

You may also find the full under lug barrel in the Classic Hunter series of the early 80's, the main difference with the Classic Hunter was an unfluted cylinder and a front sight that was adjustable for range and bullet weight via a thumb wheel.

Yes, I have a Sig P239 in stainless with silver anodized frame and black Hogue aluminum grips. That may be the picture you have. Thanks for the compliment.

One other thing about the 29CH is that it has a square butt (the Pachmayr Grippers make it kinda hard to tell in the third post). The classic N frame target grips will fit.

Also from that pic not all 29CHs had the adjustable front sight.

I have a 29CH (NIB), just like the one pictured but with the original Hogues.
