Stock replication service Old Winchester
I would like to have a replicated stock made that matches the orig M70 pre 64featherweight stock. I would like to supply my own wood, and have it done on one of those duplicating lathes. Who would you recommend for that kind of work? Whats a ball park figure to do a job on something like that?
Thanks for the input on this guys. Larry |

Gunville/Silver Creek has several Model 70 stock pattern. Call Rob Jones and talk to him, he is always willing to help.
http://www.gunville.com/default.aspx You can call the follks at Macon Gunstocks and see if they have the pattern you want. http://macongunstocks.net/winchester...stocks_89.html Great American Gunstocks has a great selection, but delivery is unknown, so if he does not ahve it in stock you may have to look elsewhere. http://www.gunstocks.com/

Avoid Great American Gunstocks like the plague. The stock they made for me looked like a beaver had chewed it out of a log. Got less than 50% refund on it, and they had the nerve to charge me California sales tax even though I live in another state.
