Partially unsupported case...whats the deal?

Iv read about some pistol chambers not supporting the entire case, Glock was mentioned. Can someone school me on how to tell by looking at the chamber whether the case is fully supported or not?

If you drop a round into the chamber, you will see an area of the case exposed

the one on the right is unsupported
