eye candy, to look tacti-cool. Beyond that your guess is as good as any. Might try McMillan tactical it's a copy of their very efficient 50 bmg break.

I did some research from when I first posted and a guy did some tests with it and found it actually reduced recoil and muffle blast, be interesting to try on a normal setup tactical

I could believe a reduction in felt recoil. I would question a reduction in volume of noise (blast).
My question is why sacrifice the elegance of balance and weight for a bit of recoil reduction. To quote one of the great trainers in the field of tactical scatterguns " 12 gauge does not kick, IF you correctly wrap your body around the gun." That from a 140 lb skinny man. Good Luck & Be Safe

I can agree with that quote, BUT in a HD situation I may not be prepared as I would like, it would be nice to have a little less kick so i can move and get the next shot off..I cant seem to find a place to buy one, If they will sell it stock they should offer it for an accessory

Did you mean something like this?
If so, most muzzle breaks/porting actually increase the noise level and muzzle blast. Some may actually reduce recoil a bit, but on shotguns it's dubious at best. That's an actual Mossberg cataloged on their site by the way. |
