I am probably going to start reloading .223 on my Dillon 650. In the past I have reloaded rifle ammo on a single stage press. I am wondering what brand of dies any of you have found good for progressive reloaders in the .223 cal. I like Dillon dies because of the bevel. However, it seems that this could be a disadvantgage in reloading for a semi auto rifle. Any thoughts? Thanks, Jerry ------------------ Ecclesiastes 12:13 ¶Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. |

Jerry,
I'm using Redding .223 dies with my 550B. They work very well for me and should work on your 650. |

I've used Lee dies almost exclusivley for about 10 years. I have been very satisfied with them. If you are reloading for a semi auto I strongly suggest you check out the Lee Factory Crimp Die.
The only dies I've ever had any trouble with were RCBS. |

My .223 dies are Dillon carbide dies, and they have worked flawlessly for reloading for my AR's. I fail to see why the taper is a disadvantage...

Thanks for the inputs. I was thinking in terms that the base of the case for a SA might require more sizing, since small base dies are needed for a Rem SA, at least I have read as much. I don't own a SA rifle except the .223. What is your procedure regarding trimming the cases after FL resizing? Do any of you own a RCBS X die? I have wondered how they work. Jerry
