So, what purpose or niche, is this pistol going to serve?
This is not going to be a range gun or a fun gun. It is going to be serving as a man-stopper. Nothing more, nothing less.

I will shoot it enough to be familiar with it's accuracy and recoil, but beyond that it will be very much an "in emergency, break glass" type of gun.
Your 357 sig is close to the 29. You really need to look at Double Tap ammo to get a true picture of the HUGE difference between the .357 sig and the 10mm.

Since you are a bit lazy, and I don't have your money, I'll do it for you:

DoubleTap 9mm+P
115gr. Gold Dot JHP @ 1415fps - 12.00" / .70"
124gr. Gold Dot JHP @ 1310fps - 13.25" / .70"
147gr. Gold Dot JHP @ 1125fps - 14.00" / .66"

DoubleTap .40 S&W Penetration / expansion
135gr. Nosler JHP @ 1375fps - 12.10" / .72"
155gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1275fps - 13.00" / .76"
165gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1200fps - 14.0" / .70"
180gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1100fps - 14.75" / .68"
200gr XTP @ 1050fps - 17.75" / .59"

DoubleTap .357 Sig
115gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1550fps - 12.25" / .71"
125gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1450fps - 14.5" / .66"
147gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1250fps - 14.75" / .73"

DoubleTap .357 Magnum
125gr. Gold Dot JHP @ 1600fps - 12.75" / .69"
158gr. Gold Dot JHP @ 1400fps - 19.0" .56"

DoubleTap 10mm
135gr JHP @ 1600fps - 11.0" / .70" frag nasty
155gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1475fps - 13.5" / .88"
165gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1400fps - 14.25" / 1.02"
165gr Golden Saber JHP @ 1425fps - 14.75" / .82"
180gr Golden Saber JHP @ 1330fps - 16.0" / .85"
180gr XTP @ 1350fps – 17.25” / .77”
180gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1300fps - 15.25" / .96"
200gr XTP @ 1250fps - 19.5" / .72"
230gr Equalizer @ 1040fps - 11.0" and 17.0" / .62" and .40" DoubleTap .45ACP
185gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1225fps - 12.75" / .82"
200gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1125fps - 14.25" / .88"
230gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1010fps - 15.25" / .95"

DoubleTap 9X25
115gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1800fps - 10.0" / .64" frag nasty
125gr Gold DOt JHP @ 1725fps - 15.0" / .74"
147gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1550fps - 17.5" / .68"

You want a nasty snubbie: upgrade your 33 to 9x25...that's in .357

Otherwise, the 10mm rules....

The G29 will be on my Christmas list this year. I've wanted one for a while. As it is now, the Delta Elite goes with me on vacations to the wilds.

Hey! What is that supposed to...oh, forget it.

That is some pretty impressive info. I think I will be shying away from the stuff with the 17"-20" of penetration but the stuff with 14"-15" looks pretty promising. Unless I am going to be in bear country with my Glock or something.

PS: If you would quit blowing your money on things like that sweet Detonics you would have more cash.

You really need to hang out at Glock talk for awhile.

The Big Dawg's forum has some great stuff on the Glock 30, being loaded with stiff springs, and shooting 45 Super, with little apparent problems, by many. That would give you heavier bullets, or, lighter, bigger bullets, at the same or nearly, velocity as the 10mm, with much cheaper costs.

The stuff I posted was from the 10mm forum, and it's actually Mike McNett, the owner of Double Taps gello results.

In Kali, the 30 or 29, with 45 Super, and 10mm, are pretty much the lightest, most powerful 10 round guns you can find. Sure, the mags are loaded with a couple tools and a jack hammer to get 10 rounds in the mag, but, that said, they shoot slightly better then a shotgun, without an after market barrel, and, after the glock barrels get done with your brass, don't bother picking it up to reload.

So, you end up with a 600 dollar gun, and, another 300 dollar barrel, to have reloadable brass, with a POJ combat trigger. Wow, sounds like a lot of money, for a gun who's real cost is about 200 bucks...

So, I just bought a high quality, Detonics that's capable of shooting 45 Super, actually worth 1200 dollars, for about 850...Loaded, it's about 5 oz heaver then the Glock 29 or 30...

I just saw that you bought a 29.

Here's a good place to start:
http://glocktalk.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=38

The 29 has a heavier slide then the 30, and, is designed for a cartridge twice the pressure, so, I think, endurance wise, and powerwise, stock, you made the best choice.

Also, check out the big dawg's club, for 30's firing 45 Super...

That could be your next glock...

Gotcha. I've considered a 10mm as a trail gun, for a long time. More rounds than my .44mag and in a package that, loaded, weighs less than an unloaded .44mag.

Hmmmm, I wonder how well a G29 would conceal on me...?????

I shot a 10mm Glock at the range that a local guy had, it was a lot of fun, which is odd because I normally HATE glocks. He and others have told me that if you want real 10mm performance that you need to hand load all your ammo for it.

PBP,

It seems you can convert that 10mm G29 to .357Sig, .40S&W and 9x25. Enjoy!

The 10mm seems to shine with Double Tap loads that really don't recoil that much. I think the rap on it caused by people using cheap powders in it. Don't think DT does that.
