? about using a .452 jacketed bullet in 45 auto
Fellow reloaders,
Can you safely use .452 jacketed rounds in a 45 Auto? I know and have used 452 lead before but was wondering what if anything the extra 1/1000 diameter would do to pressures. Anyone ever use 'em? Your input is valued. |

.452
Without digging for some old reference material from that stack of stuff over in the corner, As I recall the actual spec for the .45ACP bullet is .4515. I have shot lots of bullets that were .452 in both jacketed and lead. Naturally, Anytime you start using a new component back off the load and work your way back up.
