question about shooting my sr9 in MA!!

i apologize if i am posting this in the wrong area or if this thread has already been discussed but i need some help!

So Massachusetts states that you cannot discharge a firearm within 500 feet from a house or road. so i am just wondering if it is legal for me to take my ruger sr9 out into the woods to target shoot. i know i could get away with it but i am concerned with the legality of it because i chose not to take any risks.........

any responses will be greatly appreciated! and i thank you for your time!
