Specialty Loads… Need some insight please

Does anyone know anything about loading Blanks for .45LC ?
The loads are used for PoP'en balloons on horseback.
Where does a feller find a die that would crimp like this.
The Pict is all I have to go on until this weekend when I will have it
in my hands to dissect.
Thanks,

This fellow sells the dies that make a 6-sided rose crimp like that.
He also gives load data, just for balloon poppin'.

Loading blanks.

If you use a crimp die you will not be able to get more than a couple of loadings. The crimp will get brittle and break of causing a projectile. Not good. The way i load my practice blanks .Primed 45 cal blank case has an over sized primer hole. Prime put in powder Place a paper wad over powder . I use my seater die. compress down a little ways. Top off withe some elmers glue. Let dry. I have cases I have loaded over 15 times. I use a 454 wad cutter from buffalo arms.No ammo at sanction matches are reloads. Not aloud by cmsa sass or msa. old playing cards make great wads. Sanction ammo cannot break a balloon past 20 ft. Unless you are rich It does not make since to load once and throw away the brass. Unless you are shooting rifle class the the case needs to be crimped so it will feed. 10 years exp of loading my own on the cheap.I will go through 40 to 80 rnds per practice session once a week.

blanks.

I looked at the web sight that was given. something is amiss his statement of distance is in yards. Amounted shooting blank as stated in the rule book can break a balloon at 20 ft but not 21 ft. all targets should be a minimum of 25 ft from the areana fence to prevent spraying a spectator .

I have zero experience with blanks but I was just talking with a civil war re-en-actor the other day and he was telling be he uses "florist foam" over his powder. It completely disintegrates when fired according to him. He stopped going through the glue and cards and wads and such.

Again, I don't know, I'm just passing along what I was told.
