I visited a gun store today looking for .357 Magnum, and I ask saleperson if they got any Colt Pythons in stock... The guy did have some Pythons but what caught my attention is Colt Grizzly - 6 shot .357 Magnum with 6" barrel with compensator; It also had the red bear claw mark on the barrel...
The gun was used but it is in perfect condition - not a single scratch on the finish, the guy asked $550 for the gun. He also told me that Colt Grizzly is a rare gun and Colt only made a thousand of them or so. Does anybody have any information on that gun? ------------------ |

Don't know nutting bout no stinking Colt Grizzly but gots me a Colt Kodiak.
Basically it is a Custom Anaconda that Colt put out. Picked it up in AK back about 7 years ago when they hit the stores up there. My guess is that the Kodiak is about the same thing but seeing (Bear wise) a Grizzly is smaller then a Kodiak they had to make it in .357. Wonder if they will next do a Blacky in .22LR ------------------ Schmit GySgt, USMC(Ret) NRA Life, Lodge 1201-UOSSS "Si vis Pacem Para Bellum" |

5 years late....
I have a Colt Grizzly, not that it helps you in any way.
I was just looking to find a ready photo on one on the internet, and found this thread. I only saw the one I bought, and never seen one again. :O( |

Time machine
That was $550 in 2000, when the original post was made. I bet a Grizzly costs more now, what with quantitative easing and all.

The Colt Grizzly was a Colt King Cobra fitted with a Python type barrel.
It was made by the Colt Custom Shop in 1994. Colt made 500 of them. |

Good lord, this is a VERY old thread that was resurrected by a newbie for the sole purpose of flogging his Grizzly for sale.
Not going to happen. Closed.
