Ruger 3.5" Redhawk .44 magnum and NAA .22 short (sorry, not a magnum).

That's neat! And you only have to buy one caliber of ammunition. Just buy .44s and cut them in half for the little gun. (.44/2=.22?)

I've only seen a few X-frames,,,
The one used gun I saw (.460) was $1,250.00.

I was flush as far as disposable money right then,,,
But I passed on it because I knew I would never shoot the monster.

So unless one drops out of the sky into my lap,,,
The Harem will have to remain a 4 woman seraglio.

Actually, one thing I was thinking: since the relationship of diameter/mass is cubic, the expected weight of a .44 (given a 40gr .22) should be ~320gr

I have an X-Frame Smith & Wesson. It is a 2 1/2" snub nose .500 magnum bear gun. After five to ten shots you are tired. It is exactly like this one and it looks like it should have come from the movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit."

Iron Man - 5 to 10 shots? I think I'd have to put Peltors on top of my Peltors, under a welding helmet. Even at that, I'd probably be pleased to say that I had fired one or two rounds of full-power out of a barrel that short. Is there any such thing as a light load for that brute? Like Cowboy Action Cannon?

You took a Hunter model Redhawk and chopped it?

I don't put optical sights on handguns often, but you just took $100 to $150 premium (the scallops on the top rib of the barrel) and threw it away.

I am heated over this because I just bought a Hunter model specifically because the scope can mount so that it clears the hammer, which is not how it is with the Super Redhawk.

Nice pair, though.

Well, not so much. The work was commissioned by a previous owner. I have a 7.5" Redhawk and I wanted a short-barrel .44mag.

Now I have one.
