AR-15 safety selector removal
I am attempting to install a match trigger group on my Bushmaster AR-15 lower but am having trouble figuring out how to remove the safety selector, which is to be replaced with a new selector that came with the trigger kit. I could not find any information regarding this on the internet. Removing the trigger group was no problem but there seems to be no clear way to remove the safety. Thanks for your help.

Remove the pistol grip. Under the grip is a detent spring and (you guessed it) detent that places tension on the selector and holds it in it's selected position. Simple really, just be careful not to lose the detent and be sure you don't crimp the spring when you replace the grip.
