Sight for Browning A5 Slugs

Want to shoot Foster slugs through my '90s Browning 3" A5 smoothbore (28" VR with multiple choke tubes). Of course the only sight is the front bead. A local gun shop told me the receiver can't be drilled and tapped and the only available rear sight is a clamp-on not strong enough to be woth a flip, so I should buy a slug barrel. Can anyone suggest an alternative for a rear sight? Thanks

I use basic slugs with front bead only reliably (minute of pie plate=minute of deer) out to 65 yards and would stretch that to 80-85 yards given ideal circumstances (freezer slap empty)

I use the thing "aimed" like a rifle I just plant my face using the receiver as my rear sight to bead alignment I found accurate during range testing and practice...

The top of the receiver could be D/T'd for a Williams WGRS peep sight, and a raised front sight temporarily mounted (both removeable when not shooting slugs/@deer/etc.

Other than that - new, and/or used, A5 "buck"barrels are available from the likes of Corsons Barrels & The Barrel Exchange. (google)
