Mossberg is sold out indefinitely of these barrels.
Anyone know of another source? Gun is circa 1980 Remington 870 Wingmaster. Thanks. |

You might find one by calling your local Law Enforcement oriented gun shops and inquiring into used bbls. Many folks get into upgraded bbls and swap the old ones in. Most have,IME, a fixed Cylinder or IC choke, but some tubed bbls may be found on occasion.

Looks like Brownells has both blued and parked 18" riot barrels for about $150-$165

I checked Brownells online and didn't find any 18-inch Remington barrels. Want to tell me where you found them?
Thanks. |

Yeah, I see that the link didn't take you right to the page I was looking at. All I did was type in "870 barrel" in the search block and scroll down through the results. they were about teh 4th item to show up.

You might want to try Cabelas and Bass Pro shop---both carry extra barrels---you might find one to suit your needs.

Try B&M Specialties at 317.291.6558. I bought a couple of 18" for around $80 in fall of 2000.

18 inch 870 bbl
Go cheap. Buy an old 870 26 to 30 inch barrel and cut it down yourself or have a gunsmith do it and put in a bead or sweat a post front site on it along with rear site.
Should be a LOT less than what you find catalogs. Or try the auctions such as e-bay, or the others. Hope this helps. Do not only train, also teach. |
