.327 Federal SP 101

Okay, I have a question and don't know where to look for an answer.

For my own peculiar reasons, I really think a lot about this little revolver, but strongly dislike the cheezy rear sight. Due to the high chamber pressure (45,000 psi), is there enough meat in the topstrap to mill-out a proper bed for an appealing ("effective") sight option?

Doesn't have to be any specific choice at this point, I'm just trying to figure things out before I invest in one. One of the other gents here on TFL keeps brandishing his S&W Model 16, all in an attempt to deepen my lust for a nice little .327 revolver. Anyone have an extra model 16, say in a four-inch version they'd like to part with for around two songs and a dance?

If you don't like that rear sight .... there are other .327's:

S&W 632 Pro might be more what you are looking for.....

The 632 does look interesting, but I'm curious about the SP. Kinda' like a companion-piece to my SP101 .357.

Adjustable sights make sense to me, because of the variances between the different .32 loads I could feed such a revolver.
