vortex strikefire question????
Hey all,
I just recieved a new vortex strikefire red/green dot for my m&p 15 sport and im really excited about it.. my question is.. because the controls for the sight are located on the left side and i have heard complaints about it getting turned on accidentally when laying it on that side or carrying it in a case would mounting the sight sideways so the controls are under it rather than on its left side be a bad idea? I know i will have to accommodate this change when zeroing it in but mounted this way it still seems to provide a perfect cowitness with my irons which are zeroed for 25 meters.

I just remove the battery, when the gun is not in use.

I have been using a Strikefire on my Mini 14 for a few years now. No problems, excellent performance.
