Handgun Hunting in California
Has anyone gone handgun hunting in southern california, if so what kind of animal did you hunt and what kind of handgun and load did you use. Im thinking of using a 44 magnum to hunt for deer or bear in the Los Angeles County area.

Hand guns are legal for hunting in California. .22 pistols are legal for grouse in California. A lot of people shoot wild hogs with handguns because you can get fairly close to them easily. Handguns are legal for deer and bear but are not used as often. Handguns used for big game must be centerfire.
