SKS 7.62 x 39 Russia
I have a SKS 7.62 x 39
I believe this was a Russian made rifle It also has CAl 8T ALBVT stamped on it. My question is, Can the magazine be converted to accept a 30 round magazine and if so what parts would be required? Thanks in advance, |

Great site to find out more about your sks. I believe they all can be converted but I don't know how as I have no desire to. |

They make a sks 30 rounder that just replaces the fixed ten round, made by tapco and a number of others. If you're talking modifying it for AK47 mags it has been done, but it's alot of work. The Chinese exported a sks that took ak mags, but Clinton but a end to that in 94.

Not everything that can be done should be done. There are cheaper and simpler solutions to the problem than ruining the collector value of a Russian made SKS. |

It can be done, but it shouldn't be done as the bloody things don't work
