Mak 90 front sight block and gas block

Guys, I have a Mak 90 that I want to restore to its pre Clinton ban glory.

I want to put a threaded front sight block and gas block that will accept a spike bayonet and replace the alien formed thumbhole stock with a traditional ak wood stock with a wood pistol grip.

Where can I get these parts?

P.S. - Yes I know about the "922r b.s." and I will make changes elswhere to comply with it.

Thanks for your input.

I saw the ironwood stock set and it looks good, but Kvar didn't show any Mak 90 front sight block parts.

You could try giving them a call maybe, They have always been Helpful.

You may try Sarco or GunPartsCorp. (Numrich)

threads

I think the threads at the muzzle for the slant brake, were cut into the barrel, ...if they were removed for importation you cannot "restore" them to correct size easily, short of a new barrel.

What you can do is add an adapter, which is clunky, but cheap and simple. That gets you the Soviet thread pattern for the correct slant brake. They clamp on with 4 hex screws and can be a pain to align. Without a spot weld, the clamp on types can shoot loose. Another option I have heard discussed is re threading the barrel/muzzle to another dimension (if there is enough tube left to start) and installing a US patterned .30 muzzle device.

The Ironwood stuff is nice, but pricey. AK parts are common, and you may be able to find a surplus buttstock or a Tapco, for a lot less. You can make up the "parts count" elsewhere on the rifle, with US handguards, mag, muzzle device, etc.
