Question RE: Rifled chokes
Would I see increased accuracy over my bead sighted cyl. bore 870 with a rifled choke? Does the extended rifled choke have more rifling than the flush mount rifled Remchoke or is it just for ease of install and removal?

The American Rifleman did a test on this exact thing. The rifled choke did tend to offer more consistant patterns at 50 yards thus better accuracy. But with only a bead and no rear sight, I don't see how you could sight well enough to take advantage. I have 20" smooth bore with factory rifle sights. I can get 2" groups pretty much all the time with cheap federal 1 oz slugs. With Federal tactical low recoil I get 3-4". I get some wild flyers about 10% of the time with that load and some other brands of slugs. Sometimes 6" away from the rest of the pattern. The rifled choke tube is suppose to help with that. In the A/R test their groups hovered aroud 2-3" at 50 yards with various slugs.
