Luger 08 trigger problem

I recently acquired a Frankenluger, generously described as "capture gun", as a shooter (and at a shooter price). It shoots very nicely, but has a real issue with the trigger setup. Unless I just barely touch the trigger to get the round to fire the gun does not cock for the next shot. The action cycles just fine, but the firing pin is not arrested in the rear position. From what I can figure, the L-bracket that translates the trigger movement to the release is holding the sear back and prevents the firing pin from engaging. Has anyone heard of this problem, and have a solution?
