I use a lot of trailboss when I dont want huge velocity. I have loaded it in 357 magnum, 12ga, 45-70, 9mm, 30-06 and 45 Colt.

It goes pop every time but in the case of the 9mm and the 357 magnum (Coonan) it does not have the power to reliably work the slide.

p.s. Just got 2LBS of it at sportsmans.

all 26 of my guns are 45/70 govt, 357 mag, 22 or 12 ga... I believe in keeping it simple. Wish my wife did as well...

I don't think stocking both 4895 (H or IMR) and 4064 is worth the trouble and expense for ordinary military and hunting rifles.

My .22-250 shoots as accurately with 4895 as anything and my old .30-06 just doesn't much care. (My .308 and .223 target rifles get Varget, which is another possibility for medium size cartridges.)

Actually I would be usig IMR 4064 and or IMR 3031 whichever you can get but you eed to be able to substitute other powders if you have to such as H414.

Blc-2 and 4064 would probably be your best bets. 4064 is a great powder.
